Quioxte Farm

Pauma Valley, CA

From City Life to Citrus Groves: The Inspiring Story of Quioxte Farm.

In 2020, while the world was shifting and priorities were being reimagined, one family made a life-changing decision: they left their careers, stepped away from city life in Newport Beach and Los Angeles, and purchased 150 acres of California farmland.

They had gardening experience, but no formal farming background — only a dream, a willingness to learn, and a desire to build a place where their entire family could live, gather, and grow together.

A Leap of Faith Into Farming

What began as a vision for a multigenerational home quickly transformed into something much bigger. They soon discovered just how challenging, costly, and unforgiving farming could be. But instead of stepping back, they pivoted with purpose — embracing agritourism, tapping into their hospitality background, and building a farm experience that would soon become beloved by thousands.

What They Grow

Today, their land is overflowing with diversity and abundance. The farm produces:

• Valencia oranges

• Eureka lemons

• Oro Blanco grapefruit

• Ruby red grapefruit

• Hass avocados

• Pomegranates

• A growing stone fruit orchard: peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots

• Young Gravenstein apple trees

• Wild California sage + wild fennel

• Rosemary grown right on the property

• And honey from their very own bees 🍯

Many of these ingredients become jams, syrups, honeys, and handmade goods in their farm shop — a beautiful way of turning their harvest into something visitors can take home.

A Farm Built on Hospitality

Before purchasing the farm, they were Superhosts, passionate about hosting and creating meaningful stays. So it made perfect sense when they opened their land to guests — and the response was incredible. Over 300 five-star reviews poured in from guests who fell in love with the citrus groves, the farm animals, the peacefulness, and the sense of being welcomed like family. Their summer U-Picks have now become a signature experience, bringing crowds back year after year to wander the orchard, taste fruit straight from the tree, and enjoy the farm shop that stays open every Saturday, all year long. Guests often return multiple times — the truest sign that something special is happening on this land.

Looking Ahead: A New Season

After several years of nonstop hosting, they’re taking a short break in 2025 to renovate, refresh, and prepare for an even more exciting relaunch in spring 2026. They’ve also purchased the neighboring property, adding even more space for future stays, retreats, and gatherings. And that’s not all — they’re actively pursuing permits to host weddings, opening the door to unforgettable celebrations surrounded by citrus groves and rolling hills.

A Family-First Farm

This farm is more than a business — it’s a home built around love and care. The owner cares for her mother, who has Alzheimer’s, while also sharing the land with her husband’s mother, sister, and extended family members. It truly is a family farm in every sense of the word: built for togetherness, sustained through shared effort, and shaped by the belief that land is meant to be lived on, not just worked.

Rooted in Community & Joy

Though they entered farming as complete newbies, they’ve embraced every challenge with sincerity. Connecting with the farming community hasn’t always been easy — especially while juggling their other companies to financially support the farm — but their heart for agriculture is unmistakable. They’ve found joy in the land, in the people who come to visit, and in the chance to create something that brings others closer to where their food comes from.

A Farm Worth Visiting

Whether you’re picking peaches in the summer, exploring the citrus groves, shopping their house-made jams, or someday celebrating a wedding under California skies — Quioxte Farm is a place where stories grow right alongside the fruit.
